DESCRIPTION
Nice walk with snowshoes under the Catinaccio Group.
Immersed in an enchanting alpine landscape between the majestic Dolomite groups of Latemar and Catinaccio, our journey takes us through the suggestive area of Lake Carezza. The beginning of this adventure is located at car park number 2 on Lake Carezza, from which we set off to discover the magnificent Emperor's Stone, Kaiserstein in German.
The path up the stone features a short wooden staircase which adds a picturesque touch to the experience. Once we reach the top, we will find ourselves on an enchanting panoramic balcony which offers a spectacular view of the mighty Latemar and Catinaccio Groups. Continuing along the hiking ring, we will come across two welcoming refreshment points: the Ochsenhütte and the Gasthof Jolanda. From the latter, the panoramic view extends even further, giving us a breathtaking picture of the surrounding area.
During the return phase, the path winds through picturesque woods and gentle meadows, with gentle slopes that make the excursion pleasant and accessible. During this part of the route, the path runs alongside the cross-country tracks present in the area, creating a harmonious integration between nature and sporting activities.
It should be underlined that, given the prevalence of the route among trees and meadows, the risk of avalanches is limited, guaranteeing optimal safety during the excursion. In summary, this adventure around Lake Carezza offers not only spectacular views, but also an immersive experience in the natural beauty of this enchanting Alpine region.
