The hike we propose is long but accessible, without particular technical difficulties, perfect for those who love long walks and wish to enjoy breathtaking views. The route offers spectacular views of the Dolomites, making it an unforgettable experience for all mountain lovers.
For those looking for a shorter option, you can stop at Ütia Ciampcios, which offers a large space to relax and sunbathe. Alternatively, you can choose Malga Medalges, famous for its delicious culinary specialties, ideal for a refreshing break.
In addition to the scenery, the Valley of Lungiarù is rich in flora and fauna, with vast expanses of alpine meadows, coniferous forests, and the possibility of spotting marmots and roe deer. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture the beauty of this place.

ITINERARY
From the Pares parking lot (1540 m), follow trail marker no. 5 and first arrive at Ütia Ciampcios (2030 m) and then at Malga Medalges (2295 m). Continue on no. 3 towards Rifugio Genova, at a certain point on the left, a non-marked trail climbs up. Take this and reach a beautiful panoramic point (2460 m), then ascend to Sobutsch (2486 m) and along the ridge to Cima Medalges (2454 m). Descend through the meadows to Furcela de Munt de Furcia/Kreuzkopfejoch (2293 m). Now follow trail 3 towards Forcella dla Roa, then descend via trail marker no. 5A and then no. 5 back to the starting point.

Exit A22 Bressanone. Take the SS 49 of Pusteria and before Brunico take the SS244 for Val Badia. At Piccolino turn right for San Martino in Badia SP29 and continue to Pares parking lot.
