DESCRIPTION
Discovering the Vigolana Group: a panoramic hike in Alpe Cimbra.
Alpe Cimbra offers one of the most spectacular hikes through the Vigolana Group, one of the mountains surrounding the city of Trento along with Bondone and Marzola. This itinerary, though challenging, provides fantastic views.
Once you reach the summit cross of Becco di Filadonna, the breathtaking 360-degree panorama includes the city of Trento, Valsugana, the Adamello and Brenta Groups, the lakes of Levico, Caldonazzo, and Lavarone, the Mocheni Valley, and the peaks of Lagorai in all their beauty. The view continues to be a protagonist until Becco della Ceriola, accompanying hikers along the entire high-altitude route.
To tackle this trail, you need to be well-trained and organize with two cars: one to park at Sindech and the other at Malga Dòs del Bugo (or Malga Dos del Bue).
This hike is not just a physical challenge but also a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the unspoiled nature of Trentino and discover corners of rare beauty. Take time to admire the details of the landscape and enjoy the experience to the fullest.

ITINERARY
From the parking area in Sindech (1097 m), follow trail marker 442 to reach Rifugio Casarota “Livio Ciola” (1572 m), then Bus del le Zole (2070 m), and finally Becco di Filadonna (2150 m).
Now follow trail 425 to Bocca di Val Larga (2060 m), where you keep left on trail 453A, passing Cima Vigolana (2143 m) and Bocca Lavinella (1969 m). Continue on trail markers 450 and 434 to reach Becco della Ceriola (1935 m). Descend to Sass dell’Aquila (1711 m) continuing on trails 434 and 446. Now, using trails 435B and 450, reach Malga Derocca (1613 m). Descend via a very steep trail to Capitello del Verzer (1221 m) and then along a dirt road to Malga Dòs del Bugo/Malga Dos del Bue (1030 m).

AUTHOR’S SUGGESTIONS
The trail descending from Malga Derocca to Capitello del Verzer is very steep and not well marked. Follow the GPS track or choose an alternative path.

From Trento, follow SS349. After Pian dei Pradi, after about 5 km on the left, you will find the Albergo Bar Ristorante Sindech and the parking area.
