Ring tour to the Rittnerhorn

DESCRIPTION
Easy winter destination to do even with snowshoes.
In South Tyrol, there are many places from which you can admire a spectacular mountain panorama, but this one in particular leaves you speechless. On the summit of the Rittnerhorn, in fact, you can enjoy a 360-degree view that takes your breath away.
If you want to switch off and immerse yourself in nature, breathing in the fresh mountain air and admiring the splendid landscape of the Dolomites, this is the perfect place. Here, among woods, meadows and peaks, you will find yourself and you will be able to enjoy moments of peace and absolute relaxation.
The excursion we propose is not particularly demanding and can be done at any time of the year, unless there is too much snow.

ITINERARY
From where we parked (1504 m) go up the paved road up to the Huber Kreuz car park (1615 m). Here you follow trail no. 4 direction Rittnerhorn. Arrived at some beautiful huts, proceed on 4B arriving at a large stone with a carved crucifix. Continuing, you pass a hut (2080 m) and arrive at a crossroads. Turn left taking trail no. 1 and arriving in about 30 minutes at the Rittnerhornhaus (2261 m). Now go down the path n. 1 to Unterhornhaus (2044 m) and then following the 3A and 3B you return to the Huber Kreuz car park and then to where we parked.

With a lot of snow, you can't get to the Huber Kreuz car park except with chains.

HOW TO ARRIVE
From Waidbruck go up to Barbian - 4 km. After the village, follow the signs for Almkiosk/Huberkreuz and after about 7 km you will arrive at the parking lot.
