Cima Lavazzè and Malga Stierberg

DESCRIPTION
Cima Lavazzè, panoramic point in the heart of the Maddalene.
Excursion with snowshoes that we found quite challenging due to the steepness of the stretch that goes from Malga Stierberg to the top and the total altitude difference that slightly exceeds 1,000 meters. Once you reach the top, however, all the efforts disappear by enchantment and you enjoy a spectacular 360 degree panorama: Cima degli Olmi, the peaks of the Val d'Ultimo, the Maddalene, the Val di Non, up to the Dolomites of the Val di Fassa.

ITINERARY
From the car park (1406 m) take trail no. 19 arriving at the Stierberg Alm / Malga Manzara di Proves (1854 m). Here you can go up in sight, there is no indication, reaching the summit of Cima Lavazzè / Seespitz (2415 m). Return by the same route or via the Thal farms (1472 m).

EQUIPMENT
It is recommended to have the appropriate equipment: kit for self-rescue in avalanches (consisting of Artva, shovel and probe), snowshoes, sticks, crampons, glasses, sunscreen, hiking boots, winter clothing, gloves, cap, backpack hot drinks.

HOW TO ARRIVE
From Cles SS43, SP139 and SS42 towards Revò, SP28 SP71 and SP86 towards Proves. Before arriving in Proves, at the bridge over the Rio Chiesa, take a small road to the Masi Thal.
