Cima Mulat from the Val di Viezzena

DESCRIPTION
Quite challenging itinerary, but which offers wonderful views.
Mount Mulat is part of the Bocche Group and is located in a strategic area: it overlooks the town of Predazzo and is located at the intersection of the valleys of Fiemme, Travignolo and Fassa. From its top, where you will find a beautiful wooden cross, you can enjoy a wide view of the surrounding peaks. Starting from the north in an anti-clockwise direction: the Sassolungo-Sassopiatto, the Catinaccio, the Latemar, the Lagorai, the Pale di San Martino and Cima Viezzena. The itinerary is not very popular, not because it is not very interesting, but because it is little known. The stretch of dirt road is very steep, but then, when you take the path, the path becomes gentler. Bait dele Vache, a bivouac open all year round, is the ideal place for a moment of relaxation and refreshment.

ITINERARY
From the tiny parking lot (1240 m), go up the Val di Viezzena following trail sign 659. It is a very steep dirt road that runs along the Viezzena stream. At an altitude of 1740 m there is a crossroads: turn left following the 659 signposted Bait dele Vache - Monte Mulat. Arriving at the Bait dele Vache (1985 m), continue on 659 to the summit of Mount Mulat (2150 m). You return by the same road.

SS48 up to Predazzo, SS50 towards Passo Rolle - Passo Valles. After the Hotel Zaluna continue for 450 meters and on the curve you will see a couple of parking spaces.
