Monte Bestone from Limone sul Garda

DESCRIPTION
A little demanding excursion on Monte Bestone starting from Limone sul Garda.
Beautiful itinerary that from the shores of Lake Garda will take us to an altitude of 917 m. The uphill path is very steep, but does not present technical difficulties. The ridge path to reach the summit is wonderful: you have a magnificent view over the whole of Lake Garda. The Butterfly Path, all downhill to Limone sul Garda, on the other hand, is for expert hikers: it is very steep and in short stretches it is served with a metal cord.

ITINERARY
From the parking lot along the western Gardesana road, go up the Val Pura path n. 123. At the top of the valley, turn left heading south. After a while there is a crossroads: one path leads directly to Monte Bestone and the other, the one we take, goes to Fornaci. When we arrive at Via Dalco in the locality of Campi, immediately turn left and climb to the ridge. We did the tour to Monte Bestone, which is now north of us. Following the path on the ridge you arrive at the summit of Monte Bestone (917 m). Here you go down to the starting point for the Butterfly Trail: trail for expert hikers.
